Stack 'n' Whack Quilt Kaleidoscope Lemoyne Star Throw Size

Magic Stack 'n' Whack makes gorgeous stars, pinwheels, and hexies all in a kaleidoscope fantasy of color and designs.  No Y-seams are involved.  You will cut out strips and triangles to create an intricate design that dazzles the eye.  There should be some contrast in the fabrics, either different colors or different values of the same color.  These elements will be the focus of the pinwheels.

Prior to class please starch and iron your fabric.  Fabric should be purchased prior to class and should have a repeat pattern of 11 - 15 inches along the selvage.  However, an 11 inch repeat is the best.  If doing a larger quilt, a 14 inch repeat is good.  Do not do any cutting prior to class.  Magic Stack & Whack Quilts book will have the required yardage and pattern needed to complete your quilt based on length of repeat of fabric.

Supplies:  45 degree triangle ruler, at least a 3" wide quilting ruler, rotary cutter and cutting mat, sewing machine and normal supplies, iron and pressing mat, starch, and Magic Stack & Whack Quilts book by Bethany S. Reynolds.
